Outreach Coordinator

An Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the recruitment of new and returning participants in clinical research studies under the direct supervision of the Director; for managing data entry across the CTMS system, study visit grids, enrollment logs, and the analysis of metrics to ensure improved efficiency; for implementing and coordinating standardized processes across all sites; identify and forecast trends in patient visits, including Phase I projections for all studies involving inpatient day(s).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pre-screen potential participant phone calls to determine if they meet eligibility criteria for clinical trials
  • Determine potential protocol eligibility and follow up with QA and Study Coordinators to set up participant screening visit
  • Follow up with the team within 24 hours post-phone pre-screening to ensure the participant has been scheduled or declined from study participation
  • Schedule prescreening appointments for potentially qualified participants
  • Gather pre-existing medical records/history for potential participants as required by study protocol, prior to participant’s enrollment in clinical trials when required
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Specialists and Community Outreach Coordinators to identify both past and new participants
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

  • B.A./B.S. in Life Sciences or related field experience required
  • 1+ year demonstrating proficiency in clinical data management (data abstraction, data reporting, and analysis)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
