Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), cause by a buildup of fat in the liver.

Symptoms:

  • Intense itching
  • Ascites – A swollen belly
  • Bruising and bleeding easily
  • Jaundice – Yellowing of the skin and eyes
  • Spider-like blood vessels just beneath the skin’s surface
  • Hepatic Encephalopathy – Behavior changes, slurred speech, and confusion
